As the only widespread galactic religion in existence, the Nimian Church is an enigma to outsiders. Founded sometime during the golden era of the long ruined Ascendancy, Nimian religion was based around the then living god-emperor Nimis. Through worship of Nimis, the people overthrew the old Ascendancy and reformed the great empire into what history refers to as the Nimian Ascendancy. What happened following the living god’s revolution is lost to history, but Nimis’ Ascendancy has long passed; the only memories of the god’s reign found in scattered graveyard planets and monolith worlds.
