The Holiday season is almost at an end, with only the New Year looming on the horizon. As always, I’m pretty swamped with freelancing, gaming, and work, but I’m endeavoring to bring some interesting news to everyone.
Despite some hectic New Years plans, I’ve actually been convinced (tricked) into running a Pathfinder Module for a group of local gamers. Without naming names, the group is a pretty dedicated bunch of locals - including the ranks of a Venture-Captain, Venture-Lieutenant, and event a convention organizer!
The plan right now is to run an ‘all day gaming marathon’ on Monday January 2nd, where I’ll be GMing the Godsmouth Heresy, a first level Pathfinder module from Paizo Publishing. Originally meant as a sort of gift to local GMs for all their work with the Winnipeg Pathfinder Society circuit, we’ve actually decided to shake things up and run the module using the Pathfinder Society core rules. This means that characters will be made using a stricter set of rules, and will receive rewards as determined using Society Play assumptions.
Character creation took place last week, and the party is looking pretty varied, with a strange mix of PCs (an oracle, a cleric, rogue, and monk). We recorded some audio material from the session, and I’m hoping to get some of it online in the near future. Along with the character creation audio, we’ll be recording during the actual play, and I hope to include some further insight into the module after we’ve completed it.
Assuming they all survive…
