A Brief Update from the Front

Weeeee, time for some updates!

The ‘Storm of Freelancing’ has lessened somewhat with the release of the latest Zeitgeist adventure.  I’ll be posting another thread about that project in the near future, but sufficed to say, this was one of my larger projects.

One of my freelance works that I finished about a year ago is destined for print sometime around Christmas this year, needing only a bit of added material for the introduction.  Interestingly, a good chunk of the original content I put in this piece is being cut out and used for online PDFs.  I’m ok with that, as I really like the idea of cheap short-shot supplementary products!  More on this as it is announced.

I have another project in the works that I’m just beginning.  Assuming it keeps to timeline, this should be released sometime around June.  People who stalk me on the internet may have an idea of what this is, but until an official announcement is made, you’ll just have to wait.  Muah ha ha… and so forth.

My Serpent’s Skull campaign met a blood-curdling end a few weeks ago, after the players made the foolish decision to rush into a camp of cannibals.  Maybe I’ll get into the details here, but who would have thought that the Fleet feat would result in the death of so many PCs?  Well, that’s what they get for asking me to run a ‘brutal by the book’ adventure…

Since the Serpent Skull is dead and eaten (by cannibals), we’ve switched over to running Zeitgeist.  Only two sessions in, and I get a feeling that this party composition ‘clicks’ and the players are doing a great job of integrating themselves into the setting and the plot.  I’m curious to see how things progress, but more than anything, having a Zeitgeist game should help me with converting the later modules and having a better sense of internal campaign balance.

Having finished my brief ‘homebrew’ game, my players and I have decided to venture back into the realm of elves.  My infamous Tears of Kyonin game will be resuming, with the players starting at 16th level.  My goal is to run a high-level Golarion based campaign, and flex my high level design muscles in the process.  Right now I’m jiggering with templates, class levels, and optional content on Bestiary monsters.  It’s a fun little project.

That’s my update for now!  I’ll try to post more regular content here as time allows.
